Yen Ta Fo, also known as the Chinese equivalent of Yong Tau Foo or the ‘pink soup noodle’ in Thai, is characterized by Thai rice noodles soaked in a pink and mildly sweet sauce.
Yum Yentafo Sauce
Yentafo Spicy Salad (for 2 servings)
Preparation:
- Ong Choy (Water spinach)
- Seafood (eg. Shrimp,Squid or Fishballs ) parboiled and set aside
-Fresh Celery
- Onion
- Boiling water 1 cup (200 - 220 ml) for 1 serve
Directions:
1. Place all the ingredients in a bowl.
2. Pour Yum Yentafo Sauce over the mixture.
3. Toss well with spoon and fork.
4. Place on a platter and serve.
Yentafo Soup (for 1 serving)
Preparation:
- Rice Noodles
- Ong Choy (Water spinach)
- Seafood (eg. Shrimp,Squid or Fishballs ) parboiled and set aside
-Fresh Celery
- Onion
- Garlic
- Chicken's Blood Cubes (optional)
- Fried Tofu Cube
- Boiling water 1 cup (200 - 220 ml)
Directions
1. Place cooked rice noodles, parboiled Ong Choy (a.k.a. water spinach), shrimp, squid, fish balls, fired garlic, cooked chicken's blood cubes (optional) and fried tofu cubes in a bowl.
2. Pour Yum Yentafo Sauce over the mixture.
3. Follow with 1 scup of boiling water (200-220 ml.)
